A very good question, an Aurora Opal doublet is a lab created Opal crystal which has almost the same chemical composition as a natural Opal but is made to be more durable for jewellery. Layered carefully with a high quality Clear Himalayan Quartz. These pieces are a work of lapidary art. Our opal is grown in Germany then sent to a one man lapidary team to create magical crystals.
